Every parent wants to know who is teaching their children, establish a means communication and understand more about their child’s performance at school. Every year, NIS hold an Open House ranging from elementary school to high school, granting parents the opportunity for a meet-and-greet with their child’s teachers.
Parents get the chance to be up-to- date with their children’s academic performance in school and they also get to discuss any matters on their mind – academic or nonacademic.
So, how does it work? Members of each department are assigned to a classroom to hold their meetings. Student-ushers assist in the fluidity of the Open House by guiding parents through the school and directing them to the specific teachers they wish to meet with.
The staff takes over from there, welcoming the parents and informing them about their class, their expectations, and offering their advice and support. Parents also gain an understanding about the teaching-learning methodologies that NIS provides.
It’s easy to tell that the Open House was successful since many parents expressed that they felt far more acclimated to the school. There’s just no substitute for knowing that your children are in a safe and professional environment. The school officially welcomed all parents to the NIS family and community.
