Did you know that over the past 50 years, plastic production has doubled and as a result so has its pollution?
Plastic contamination is one of the most critical environmental issues that the world faces today; it impacts the earth, our well-being, and prosperity. At Advanced Education, students are encouraged to excel in their academics as well as become productive individuals that aim to improve their society.
Under the supervision of IB and American High School Chemistry instructor, Ms. Shaimaa Soliman, the tenth graders organized their “Go Green” campaign. It aims to raise awareness and help the Advanced Education community exert effort in attempting to reduce the issue.
With an educative morning broadcast, the tenth graders encouraged students and staff to take a step to make a change; share the knowledge and the precautions with your family and friends. This way, the campaign sponsored by Advanced Education would grow and the have positive influence on the country and world as a whole.
Advanced Education students are requesting that everybody “Go Green” by making minor adjustments to their daily routines that will positively affect the environment. They are even planning to plant the trees at the new Advanced Education campuses, themselves. The environment helps us, so why not reciprocate.
“Advanced Education will lead the scene and keep it green!” expressed Soliman.
The students have taken the initiative to be a generation that makes a different; let’s help them fulfill their goal. By making this change, NISians are ensuring a healthy and more sustainable future for the coming generations.
