When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers it’s near Halloween.
Watch out for the witches folks, because they’re coming to Advanced Education Schools. It’s that time of the year, a favorite for kids who binge on chocolates and adults who get the chance to bring out the child within; it’s Halloween!
Thursday, October 31st, marks the annual Fall Festival. Teachers, students and staff get the chance to show off their creativity and creepiness.
If you still haven’t come up with a costume idea, there is no need to worry because we have you covered.
Here are the top five easy DIY costumes.
1- Snapchat or Instagram Filters:
Dress up in your favorite Snapchat or Instagram filter. For example, open the application and select the dog filter and then point your phone to a blank surface and take a picture or screenshot. Print it out on a thick cardboard paper and cut it out from the middle in order to create a frame. Finally, put on makeup and accessories (cut dog ears and glue it to an ear band, cut a tongue from red fabric, add makeup and draw a dog nose) and you are good to go!
2- Men in Black:
Find your favorite black pants, blazer, sunglasses, and grab a black tie from your parent’s closet and go to the Fall Festival.
3- Paper doll:
Use thick cardboard paper and create your favorite to 2D dress, bag, and a bow. You can either draw or print it, but don’t forget to get creative.
4- Zombie costume:
Use an old white shirt, rip it up and add stains of fake blood and a black color. Then wear a pair of black pants and put on Zombie makeup (powder, fake blood, tissues and eyelashes glue to make wounds). Now you are ready to scare anyone around you!
5- Mummy costume:
This one is very simple and quick. Just get a pack of toilet paper and wrap yourself with it but don’t forget to add glue after every couple of layers to guarantee that your mummy costume stays in tact for a full day. Keep an extra roll of toilet paper just in case you need to fix anything.
Don’t for get to get as creative as you can. Happy but Spooky Halloween!
